What publications to publishers (media sellers with inventory to sell) normally read?
Q. Hi. It's a simple question. I am trying to determine what publications a Media Seller or Publisher would read. As an ad person or a PR practitioner, if I wanted to target them with some ads or news in some publications (print), which ones would have the most impact? Which ones would they be expected to read the most? Any and all help is appreciated!

A. Not as simple a question as it might seem. There as many specialised media sellers or publishers as there are blades of grass, so their preferred reading is likely to be just as varied. For this senior editor/publisher, I'm like a number others in that I'll read publications that are full of current events, usually dailies. I rarely will read a community paper, although lifestyle magazines are useful. But one of the biggest reading moves I and others like me are making, is online. It's easy, very regularly updated, makes no mess and aspects I might want to read in greater detail at a later time are easily saved.

Hi, What are the major online media publications and tools that marketers and advertisers use the most?
Q. I am trying to find out online sites or resources that have information about marketing and advertising. ie: trends, forcastings, etc. I know of some such as the IAB, Comscore, but are there more major ones I should know about? Also, what are the major online news publications that marketing/media/advertise rs people often use? I am familiar with Adotas and Adnews but can you please list more? Thanks!

A. DEAR SIR/MADAM, people make a living by aquiring and corralating information, and then selling this information to people who are starting businesses etc. Therefore , the best places to get what you want are going to cost.
